I noticed that one of the main reasons for seniors to move to a retirement community was that they were lonely, they may have lost a spouse or they had just become bored living by themselves. Another reason was they were afraid of a medical emergency and being alone with no one to help them. Their children were concerned about their eating habits, personal attention to their own care and their mental well being.

I have had adult children call and say their mom or dad was continually calling them and they need to find some relief. I told them their parent was probably lonely. They were looking for answers to the problem. I told them what I had seen in past years is that if they move the parent to a retirement community it might change what was happening. People that are lonely when living by themselves get bored and want to talk or they might be a afraid because of some little medical problem that was bothering them. They call the children, but the children lead busy lives and have their own families to take care of, something had to change for the children.

I have seen seniors in a retirement community walk the floor in the afternoon and evening looking for something to do. There were things to do but they decided not to take part in the activity.

I wondered why people would not want to find a friend to share an apartment. They would have someone go to the mall with, eat with each, go to a movie with, go to a dance or just go for a drive. They would have someone to talk to and if a medical emergency someone would be there. Most of the time one person can drive and has a car. It made perfect sense to me to have some one around to talk with in your apartment when you had nothing else to keep you busy.

I have also seen sisters that lived together that were so happy and doing things together. It was wonderful to see the friendship and the fun they had together. They went shopping, out to eat, to a movie and enjoyed things that a single person would not want to do by themselves.

A shared senior apartment is the best possible way to make a parent or good friend happy with the life they live when they lose their life partner. Pets are comforting, but they can’t talk to you. New senior resort lifestyles are the easy way to have all the things life has to offer and the way you want it.

We can provide a trial for a few days to see if this lifestyle is something appealing to you, your parent or a friend. If someone has lost a loveone it is best ot try some different styles of living before making a big change in your life that can cost a large sum of money. Trail stays are way many seniors today are finding whats right for them.

Senior Info Cost of Living Past 65

The average 65 year old is supposed have an income of $35.000 in a year and the average out lay is $26,600. That means you might have to share your retirement with someone else. In the past I have seen so many retiring people that have lost their partner and are going through life by themselves. I have seen these people sad and lonely, with little to make them want to join in and have fun.

Sharing your life with someone else means, your apartment cost ae all split down the middle. You save money, you are happier and it keeps you more active through your later years. Other benefits are that if you have something in a medical nature turns up you have a person to lean on or they are there when you need them the most. If you like to travel you have a travel companion.

Being alone and lonely does not have to be part of your retirement. It is what you make of your life and there are options to consider. You need to believe you are a person that deserves to be happy and full of fun. Let it happen and find something that keeps you looking for the next day. If you are one that is depressed and think you have no options guess what finding a friend and starting to live life again is more of what you should be looking for.

Life Sharing in Middle Age

Life’s Little Pleasures

Resort lifestyles and the willingness to share it with others around your age is getting to be something more people are looking at with more future economic bad news. If we want a life free of the struggles of our parents as we age we need to keep an open mind to where retirement is headed and where we want to go with our retirement.

I have always enjoyed helping people. If you are one of those people that can afford a nice one bedroom or two bedroom apartments that is great. I think it would be very appealing to you to live in a secure beautiful environment full of some of the most sought after services being done for others just like you.

If you live in a condo, or apartment it is easy to see others are struggling to get to know anyone else that lives in the same building. There are no services that are included in you rent in that lifestyle. You might have the lawn mowed and the snow removed in the northern areas.

You have no real service like concierges, chefs, serving staff, lifestyle directors and others at your finger tips. Life in a senior resort is one of a kind and it is evolving into what the next generation is longing for. They can work if they want to or if it is needed and still enjoy the finer things in life.

The services in an apartment dwellings only include the manager collecting the rent each month for an apartment.

You could be getting so much more for your money, Travel at a low cost, dining at your schedule no charge, socializing or mixers no charge, entertainment free, concierge service free, fitness center with helpers and other services you might dream of if you are not living this lifestyle.

On the other hand you might be a person in your 50’s, 60’s or 70’s that maybe just went through a divorce with no children at home looking for more out of your life. Give your self a chance to enjoy life. It doesn’t matter if you are shy or out going, you need to meet new people on a level that helps you get to know them without any hassle. I can’t think of a better way than in an apartment style living where everyone comes together for breakfast, lunch and dinner over a cup of coffee and you are surrounded by others living in a place everyone calls home.

There are also people still working out of necessity. They can afford this lifestyle and work until their social security starts. Work is easy when you don’t come home to cooking, cleaning, and mowing the grass, fixing something broken or some other work you had not planned for when you got off. Treating yourself to a great lifestyle is not extravagant; it is something you deserve after working most of your life. Enjoy it while you can get the most out of it.

When I said sharing life with other people your age I am think of the economy and how we think of more elaborate surroundings with great services. There is great care taken to satisfy you and anyone else with a desire to make it happen. Looking into shared living is one of the ways you can make it happen. You can experience things that only people who have been fortunate with life and their money earning capability to enjoy. Check out apartment sharing in a great senior resort.

Meet talented and interesting people where you live. Life doesn’t have to be boring, it has some interesting and fun events if you allow yourself to take part and enjoy. Senior resorts are for people in their 50’s and up. Guess what according to most senior begins at 52 years old. Senior Resorts are a coming lifestyle for people who want life’s little pleasures. Check out the link in Red if you are interested in finding a friend on your own.

Senior Friend Finder

Traveling & Senior Resort Living

Great Retiring Lifestyles

Life in a resort or senior community as some call them is evolving and as we see new properties go up they are extending what they offer to meet the needs of the next retiring generation. The baby boomers are the next group, but until they start looking for some luxury lifestyle. You can take advantage of great amenities provided by these resorts for seniors.

Today they are beautiful campuses with services, like valet for your car, concierges services, chefs that provide freedom dining that lets you sleep in until you want to start your day, common areas to enjoy with your friends, socializing type happy hours and activities you can share with others your age. They even include the utilities except phone, but most of you have a cell phone anyway. You will feel like college again except you have money to do something now.

Renting an apartment in a beautiful resort style of community has some great advantages. I could rent an apartment with a close friend and live in comfort. If I liked to travel I would have a concierges call a sister property in the location I wanted to go and reserve their guest suite.

When a person lives in an apartment in one property they can take advantage of the agreement that allows you to go to a sister property and stay for free. This includes dining, all the activities, common areas like the fitness center, theatre, spa, pool room and any other area at that property. You are paying for an apartment at your property and it allows you to go stay in other sister properties at no extra charge.

I know when it is cold in the northern part of the US it might be nice to get away for a week to a warm part of the country. Lets say Co Co Beach, Florida or some warm spot in Texas that time of the year would be nice. You can stay about a week in most other locations.

The cost of an apartment for one person could run about $3300 a month, but if you decide to share an apartment with a friend the second person is charged $400. If you add the two together it would cost $3700 a month. That divided between two people is $1850 a month and includes all the items mentioned above. What ever you have to spend after the rent is yours there are no utilities or other hidden charges. Of course if you have outside guests it will cost them if they dine.

The cost is less than some of the nice apartment houses in town and they give you nothing, No dining, your utilities are not paid, you have no travel package, you may not have a concierge to help you with booking a flight. Most apartments houses I have lived in the next door neighbor has lived there for three years and I don’t even know his name. Very little socializing in apartment house living.

Today is the day to start thinking about what your future will be like. Do you want to have friends, live an up scale life, have things done for you, take the worry away, travel to places you have never been at an affordable cost and get up when you want. Maybe this is really for you!!!!

Home of Senior Info

Starting next year 2011 Over 10,000 People in the US Will Turn 65 Every Day

What an eye opener, we dream of our retirement. I want the luxury of life, because I worked hard for 50 years. I am one of those first 10,000 and I want to help some of my generation find what they want. This is not going to be what everyone wants or is thinking. Some have been more fortunate than others landing good jobs that have allowed you to save for retirement. Others are relying on Social Security and a small savings.

Here is a great option if you are still feeling as young as you did when you were in college. So many of us are old on the outside but we feel about 30 if we don't look in the mirror. Shared apartment living for seniors is right down your alley. Get a nice two bedroom two bathroom apartment so you have privacy and choose a person that is like minded as you are to share the apartment.

Retirement communities today have nice two bedroom apartments that cost around $2900 dollars, but if two share that apartment the cost of the second person drops to $400. If two people share the $3300 expense it cost each $1650 monthly. What a bargain for what is given in return.

There are some huge differences in personalities and lifestyles between people as they age. The better we are at choosing a person that fits our likes and dislikes the better it will work. The resort lifestyle or senior communities offer a large array of wonderful pleasures. Look at what life can be in a great community.

Starting with your social well being sharing your great personality with others your age is an experience. They want to know about you and you will want to know about them and what better way to do this than in a group setting breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have ways to meet people your age and get to know them before you even think about a possible shared apartment. Make an effort to have lunch with a group of seniors your age thinking of the possibility of sharing an apartment and getting acquainted. I'll tell you more about that later.

These surroundings enable a person to take great interest in activity. Why, because staying active is a proven way to extend life and you have a far greater quality of living. Being alone is not fun, I know because I have been involved in retirement living for the past eighteen years and my friends that I have talked with tell me they were alone in the home and had feelings of loneliness. Who has some medical concerns that make you think if someone else lived with you it would make you feel a little more at ease about your problem. Although the children do not live that far away they just don't have the time to visit often. Sometimes we have to call them or want to call them late in the night if we feel bad. We don't though because we know they have a job to go to in the morning and they need their sleep. I am an expert, you can ask my mother.

Where is a place where a group of people live together and have fun sharing cards, social hours, movies, entertainment, meals and fitness centers. Group activity are fun, it has a small amount of competition to it and at any age that is still fun. Some properties have huge theatres with a stage, dance floor and 20X20 movie screen with sofa seating. They have fitness centers with state-of-the-art equipment for staying in shape and keeping your muscles strong. This is something doctors and professionals have found that gives people a better quality of life as the get older.

I have seen mothers and fathers look very frail and sickly when they approach a community to look at what they could be sharing with others their age. I have also found that after they were there they found friends, ate well, started getting active and the children came to me and said what did you do with my mother, that is not her. She is enjoying life more now than ever and she is happy again.

I started getting involved in senior life as a middle aged person and have been in it long enough that I am a senior now. I know what I will want when I make that decision to give up the job I am doing. Here are a few things offered that I like and a few items that I know I don't want.

         1. I like to eat on my time, I don't want someone telling me I have to be at breakfast at 7:00 am,
Lunch at 11:30 am and dinner starts at 5:00 pm and say to me if you are not here you can't eat.
         2. I want to have my car brought to the front door so I can jump in and go. I don't want to go
out to the back or down in some parking garage under ground and get my car.
         3. I want to have company when I want.
         4. I want to be able to have friends or family stay the night if they so choose.
         5. Do I want to stay home alone and cook, watch my TV and do nothing or do I want to have fun with others my age. Do I have any friends that want to help share the expenses of a nice lifestyle?

The cost of a two bedroom apartment in a resort style of senior living would cost me $3450.00 dollars and I only make with saving and SS about $2450.00 a month. But if I find someone to share an apartment with me the cost of a second person is $450.00 dollars a month and it would be a total cost of $3900 split between two people that would be $1950.00 dollars leaving me $500.00 dollars for other items. I think I could live with a friend in an apartment in a place that includes luxury dining freedom, fitness center, spa, theater, billards area, activities and socializing if we split the cost of the monthly rent.

Many seniors are very close affording this magnitude of lifestyle. Living in your own home is not all what it is cracked up to be. You live alone, you take care of the refrigerator and appliance manitenance, the roof maintenance and shovel the snow, rake the yard, paint when it is needing it and why. We think we want to say we own our own home. Guess what lots of seniors are still finishing paying that home mortgage.

More and more people are looking at the economy to see where it is headed. I am going to look into sharing an apartment with a friend, I did it when I was in college and why won't that work now.

Todays Round Rock Senior Info

Todays Round Rock senior retirement info is about a new retirement community opening in about 12 months in Round Rock Texas. Seniors are looking for more in living arrangements today than ever before. Families can be looking for parents, friends or self with the intensions of finding the greatest lifestyle for their love ones as possible. Do you want a host of senior info about the future of retirement.

What makes a great lifestyle? I feel more people today are searching for the best arrangements in a lifestyle than ever before in history. Baby boomers are getting closer to retirement and it is a huge group of people looking for whats new in the senior lifestyle industry. A Retirement home at one time was a place to go when your days were numbered. Not so today!!!
We as baby boomers are not accepting the normal in a senior lifestyle. We want the nice things in life and we are not waiting until we retire to see what is available. We are looking for socializing, meals when we want them, freedom to come and go as we wish, we want to bring our friends to visit and we want unparalleled amenities. We want freedom dining, all inclusive rent package, concierges, valet service and all in a monthly no lease arrangement. Have you ever wondered what freedom dining is actually. It is the ability to walk to a concierge and say. “Would it be possible to get a sandwich, Thank you” and have the concierge say “Yes sir or Ms Jones I will take care of that for you” Sounds good doesn’t it and it is possible in today’s new resort lifestyles for seniors. Don’t forget Senior starts at “52” according to most agencies.
Where does a person find something like that? It does exist, a home of senior info about where to find communities are turning to what the customer wants and not what the customer needs. I want things like freedom to have friends visit me like in my home. I want friends to be able to eat and maybe have a cocktail with me. I want to be able to play pool or go to the golf course out the back door of where I live. I want a lot and so do you, that is why a senior info company searching for those types of communities to send information about is important to all of us.
How many companies like this are there now? Evolution is taking effect in the senior services industry today. I know of several beautiful communities that are month to month and are all inclusive. What more could you want in a new lifestyle.
Why are they making things easier on seniors. Senior news is making a senior info company stand tall because the boomer population has made senior retirement companies think about future living arrangements of our seniors and what seniors will accept for a lifestyle in the near future. Companies are getting ready to meet the demand. The leading edge companies are already meeting that demand as we speak.
Why wait until you can't enjoy what you have worked for all your life. Start now enjoy life, it may not be as long as you planned to live. Take advantage of what senior life is all about and live life to the fullest. Working on yards, doing dishes, mowing, cleaning the garage and other tasks can be done and you might even save money. Some people are paying large taxes, home repair, utilities, food, entertainment and other items can be more expensive than we think unless we take the time to go see what a new lifestyle really costs. We just assume that it is to expensive.
Who is the senior info company leading us into the future? This is an article to inform seniors of the existence of such communities for a new lifestyle. We all remember what the senior lifestyle was in the past and no one liked that. Now we are offered something that we want at a younger age. No one wants to wait until they are in need of a nursing home to enjoy what we were promised when we retire. The age of retirement is 62 years old and why not start at 62 to enjoy life, go where you want, when you want and have things done for you at this younger age.
